Softball Game Preview: Horseshoe Bend Generals vs. Glenwood Gators

The Horseshoe Bend Generals will venture away from home to take on the Glenwood Gators at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Glenwood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Horseshoe Bend, who comes in off a win.

While Generals fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They walked away with a 5-2 win over Valley on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Cara Mae Davis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Moss, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Glenwood's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Opelika on Saturday. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
