Baseball Recap: Male Triumphs

Male posted their closest win since April 12th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Green County Dragons 6-4.

Miles Flack tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Male is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 10-14 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Camden Angelini, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Male's win bumped their record up to 14-16. As for Green County, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Male will square off against West Jessamine at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Green County, they will face off against Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
