Basketball Recap: Hemphill Drops Highest Score of Season Against Centerville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jasper, Hemphill was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They strolled past the Centerville Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 61-45. The Hornets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Centerville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trae Phillips, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Chrisman, who earned three points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Hemphill's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Centerville, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Hemphill has already played their next contest, a 56-47 loss against Anderson-Shiro on the 12th. As for Centerville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 47-41 defeat against Rockdale on the 12th.
