La Joya Community has gone a perfect 3-0 against Maryvale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Fighting Lobos will face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

La Joya Community is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Marana just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Maryvale came up short against Browne on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 17-25, 25-23.

La Joya Community's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Maryvale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Everything went La Joya Community's way against Maryvale in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as La Joya Community made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Lobos since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
