Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kendra Mcqueen and Bekah Grim Lead Blue River Valley to Victory

Blue River Valley not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Union Rockets as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

One reason for the win was Blue River Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-7.

Blue River Valley was led to victory by Bekah Grim and Kendra McQueen. Grim had 14 digs and two aces, while McQueen had 12 digs. Grim has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Blue River Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Blue River Valley's record now sits at 8-13. As for Union, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Looking ahead, Blue River Valley will venture away from home to square off against Tri at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
