Volleyball Recap: Pasadena Comes Up Short

Pasadena and A&M Consolidated squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pasadena had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-17, 23-25, 25-9.

Despite the defeat, Pasadena saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marleen Chavez had eight digs and two assists.

Among those leading the charge was Presley Johnson, who had 12 digs and seven assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Pasadena's loss dropped their record down to 23-11. As for A&M Consolidated, they pushed their record up to 33-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Pasadena does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for A&M Consolidated, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against West Brook on the 4th.
