Baseball Game Preview: Meeker Bulldogs vs. Holdenville Wolverines

The Meeker Bulldogs will square off against the Holdenville Wolverines at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Meeker took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Luther, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs skirted past the Lions 4-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holdenville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They never let Wewoka get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Thursday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Jace Dockrey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bo Black, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Holdenville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Holdenville back to even at 2-2. As for Meeker, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.
