Mendez came into Wednesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Contreras Cobras 3-0 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mendez took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-9, 25-12.

Mendez's victory bumped their record up to 25-12. As for Contreras, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-7.

Coming up, Mendez will head out to challenge Cleveland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Contreras, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roybal at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
