Shoemaker is 8-2 against Copperas Cove since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Shoemaker Wolves will face off against the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Shoemaker didn't have too much trouble with Temple as they won 74-56. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Wildcats are ranked 571st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Copperas Cove, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They strolled past Killeen with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-46. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldawgs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Copperas Cove's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-12. As for Shoemaker, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Everything came up roses for Shoemaker against Copperas Cove when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 76-45 win. Does Shoemaker have another victory up their sleeve, or will Copperas Cove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
