Aliquippa is a perfect 3-0 against West Allegheny since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Quips will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Aliquippa's defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so West Allegheny's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Aliquippa was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 18-12 to New Castle.

Meanwhile, West Allegheny never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Ambridge 70-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Indians' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

West Allegheny's win came from a few key players Aliquippa will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Donovan O'Connor, who threw for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing, and also rushed for 49 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Teagan Tomei was in the mix too, providing West Allegheny with two scores.

West Allegheny was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 299 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for West Allegheny, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tomei, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

West Allegheny's record is now 2-3. As for Aliquippa, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Aliquippa beat West Allegheny 19-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Quips since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
