Swainsboro had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Portal Panthers 62-33.

Swainsboro was led to victory by A'Acaylah Murphy and Mckinley Walden. Murphy dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten steals, while Walden dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 steals. Murphy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Coming up, Swainsboro will challenge Treutlen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Portal, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-31 defeat against Screven County on the 2nd.
