Baseball Recap: Central Raiders vs. Udall Eagles
Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 23-13 to the Udall Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Thursday.
Brennan Rowl was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Conner Atkins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Udall, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Central will challenge rival Oxford on Monday. Meanwhile, Udall is set to take on their familiar foe South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
