Volleyball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

If Concord was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mt. Diablo on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears came up short against the Alhambra Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Concord was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Alhambra's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Concord has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Alhambra, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alhambra, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Benicia on the 1st.
