Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 74-70 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rio Vikings. One positive for the Pirates, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Rio, with the win, they broke their 19-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterloo will take on Belleville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Waterloo is facing Belleville at the right time seeing as Belleville is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Rio, they will face off against Randolph at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Rio likes a good challenge.
