Softball Recap: Groton-Dunstable Comes Up Short

Groton-Dunstable was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Gryphons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Groton-Dunstable saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlin Haggerty, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Scarlett Foley also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Groton-Dunstable's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Greater Lowell Tech, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Groton-Dunstable will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Algonquin Regional at 4:00 p.m. As for Greater Lowell Tech, they will face off against Montachusett RVT at 3:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
