Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Conway Springs' Winning Streak

Conway Springs lost against Medicine Lodge back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Indians. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Conway Springs had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Medicine Lodge can attribute much of their success to Emery Shinliver, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Shinliver has posted over her last six matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalynn Cope, who had three digs and three aces.

Conway Springs' loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Medicine Lodge, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Conway Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against South Central on the 20th. As for Medicine Lodge, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Southwestern Heights on the 20th.
