Westlake hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let the Del Valle Cardinals onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. Given the Chaparrals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Cardinals are ranked 435th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westlake pushed their record up to 6-0-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Del Valle, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9-4.
