Volleyball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Peoria Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss on October 13th.

While Westview was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-22, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Westview lost, don't look at Bianca Chavarria. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and one assist.

Peoria's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Alejandro, who had 17 assists and eight digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddison Crespo, who had seven digs and seven assists.

Westview now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Peoria, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.

As of now, neither Westview nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
