Baseball Recap: Bruton Takes a Loss

Bruton lost against Smithfield back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers came up short against the Packers, falling 19-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bruton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Lienard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

Bruton's record is now 4-10. As for Smithfield, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bruton is set to challenge their familiar foe Grafton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Smithfield will square off against rival Lafayette at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
