Recap: Glen Allen Jaguars vs. J.R. Tucker Tigers
The Glen Allen Jaguars had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against J.R. Tucker by a score of 53-41 on Tuesday. Given Glen Allen's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while J.R. Tucker is ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glen Allen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Faron Friend, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kamden Tiller, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Glen Allen's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for J.R. Tucker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Glen Allen the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Deep Run at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Deep Run focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Friday. As for J.R. Tucker, they will head out on the road to take on Hermitage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
