Volleyball Recap: Central Plains Comes Up Short

Central Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellis Railroaders.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Ellis scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20.

Kambree Nixon paced Central Plains' offense, picking up seven kills. Nixon got some help from Taylin Davis and her 12 assists.

Central Plains' loss dropped their record down to 13-23. As for Ellis, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-22.

Central Plains has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Greeley County on the 21st. As for Ellis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Decatur Community on the 25th.
