After a string of four wins, Michigan Lutheran Seminary's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They lost  13-1 to the Ithaca Yellowjackets. Having soared to a lofty 16  runs in the game before, the Cardinals couldn't push the score so high this time.
  Ally Coffey was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She  struck out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and 11 unearned) runs off   ten  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run.
Michigan Lutheran Seminary's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Ithaca, the  win was  the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.
 Ithaca has  already played their next  matchup (against Garber), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Michigan Lutheran Seminary will be paying especially close attention to the Yellowjackets'  contest: after the Yellowjackets face off against the Dukes, they'll take on Michigan Lutheran Seminary again  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
