Kenston Forest got themselves on the board against Tidewater Academy on Thursday, but Tidewater Academy never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Tidewater Academy Warriors as they made off with a 15-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Kavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kelsey Marshall (2025) made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Marshall (2025) was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addie McDaniel (2025), who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Aubrey Mayton (2026) was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Kenston Forest back to even at 1-1. As for Tidewater Academy, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Kenston Forest will take on Temple Christian in a tournament on Saturday. As for Tidewater Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Brunswick Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
