Baseball Recap: Schenck Takes a Loss

Schenck lost against Lee Academy last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Pandas by a score of 4-3.

Cameron Atkinson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played. Samuel McNeal also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Schenck's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lee Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Schenck and Lee Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wolverines will look to extend Shead's seven-game losing streak when they meet at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lee Academy will try to hand Stearns their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
