            Softball Recap: Beecher Bobcats vs. Wilmington Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Beecher walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Wilmington Wildcats  3-1. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.

 Ava Lorenzatti made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ava Olson, who  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI and one  stolen base.
Beecher pushed their record up to 32-2 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Wilmington,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 23-7 record.
As of now, neither Beecher nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
