Basketball Recap: Dunn Takes a Loss

Dunn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a hard 66-50 fall against the Santa Clara Saints. The Earwigs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 73-56.

Santa Clara's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Jimenez led the charge by going 7 for 15 en route to 22 points and three steals. Those 22 points gave Jimenez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jj Ward, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Dunn's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Santa Clara, their victory bumped their record up to 6-21.

Dunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Clara, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-56 defeat against St. Bonaventure on the 5th.
