Baseball Recap: South Albany Takes a Loss

South Albany made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Silverton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Redhawks fell just short of the Foxes by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Redhawks have suffered since April 3rd.

South Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Silverton, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-5.

Coming up, South Albany will host Crescent Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.84 runs per game on average), something the Redhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Silverton, they will head out on the road to challenge Woodburn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Foxes are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
