There's no place like home for Haverhill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Billerica Memorial Indians on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Hillies: when they faced off against the Indians back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-98) Haverhill actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-23, 13-25, 26-24, 15-9.

Bella Davis paced Haverhill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Davis got some help from Olivia Lesswing and her 33 assists. Reece Favalora and Cecily Russell kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Haverhill's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Billerica Memorial, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11.

Haverhill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Billerica Memorial, they will venture away from home to face off against Masconomet Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
