Baseball Recap: Smithville Comes Up Short

Smithville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Hatley Tigers. The Seminoles were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Smithville's record is now 0-11. As for Hatley, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smithville will host Okolona at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithville has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hatley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
