Preview: Jourdanton Indians/Squaws vs. Comfort Bobcats/Deer
The Jourdanton Indians/Squaws will be home for the holidays to greet the Comfort Bobcats/Deer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jourdanton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Jourdanton pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crystal City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (60), Jourdanton still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Comfort was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 58-54 to Uvalde.
Jourdanton's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6. As for Comfort, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Jourdanton came out on top in a nail-biter against Comfort in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, sneaking past 57-54. Will Jourdanton repeat their success, or does Comfort have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
