Volleyball Recap: The Academy Wildcats vs. Bennett Tigers
The Academy extended their postseason success on Sunday against Bennett. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bennett Tigers. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was The Academy who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-21.
The Academy was led to victory by Eva Rodriquez and Jaelyn Farmer. Rodriquez had two aces and 20 assists, while Farmer had 11 digs. Rodriquez is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in the last four games she's played.
The Academy's record is now 16-9. As for Bennett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-7.
