Viera waltzed into their contest on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 58-50 win over The First Academy Royals. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Royals, too.

The First Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Fernando Nieves-Font, who posted 19 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Nieves-Font also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Nash Barfield was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Viera pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for The First Academy, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-7.

Viera does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for The First Academy, they will challenge Circle Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Circle Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully The First Academy likes a good challenge.
