Basketball Recap: Early Piles Up the Points Against Dublin

There's no place like home for Early, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 56-29 victory over the Dublin Lions. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 472nd, while the Lions are ranked 1013th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Dublin lost, don't look at Olivia Salyer. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points and six rebounds. Salyer is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Adriana Rosalez, who had two points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Early has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Dublin, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Early will square off against Millsap at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dublin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tolar at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tolar will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Dublin surely won't give up without a fight.
