Basketball Recap: Clear Falls Comes Up Short

Clear Falls was the 66-58 winner over Clear Lake when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Clear Falls Knights fell just short of the Clear Lake Falcons by a score of 50-47 on Wednesday.

Clear Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Perkins, who went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. Julien Barclay was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

Clear Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Clear Lake, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-12.

Clear Falls and Clear Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Clear Falls will take on Deer Park at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday up 356 places (178 vs. 534). Similarly, Clear Lake (ranked 232nd) will meet Brazoswood (ranked 772nd) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
