Baseball Recap: Wilton-Lyndeborough Takes a Loss

Wilton-Lyndeborough had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-1 to make it five. They fell just short of the Concord Christian Kingsmen by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Concord Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs this season.

For Concord Christian's part, TJ Charbono spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up 19 Ks.

At the plate, Concord Christian secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Caleb Funk, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
