Volleyball Recap: Texas Lions Academy Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Saturday. Texas Lions Academy took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Texas Christian. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Central Texas Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Texas Lions Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kadence Folts had ten digs and two aces. Folts has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Texas Lions Academy and nudges their season record down to 10-8-2. As for Central Texas Christian, their record now sits at 18-1-1.

Texas Lions Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against New Braunfels Thunder on the 5th. As for Central Texas Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Vanguard College Prep on the 2nd.
