Basketball Game Preview: Bryan Station Defenders vs. Garrard County Golden Lions

The Bryan Station Defenders will face off against the Garrard County Golden Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bryan Station knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matches -- so hopefully Garrard County likes a good challenge.

Bryan Station is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Tates Creek to the tune of 96-40 on Saturday. The Defenders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

While Garrard County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-25), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over Wolfe County two weeks ago. The game marked the Golden Lions' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Bryan Station pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.5 points per game. As for Garrard County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
