Jeremy Nixon leads Kathleen to victory over Lake Wales

The Kathleen Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 74-67 victory over Lake Wales. Kathleen's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jeremy Nixon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Kathleen's points. Another player making a difference was Jaiquan Torrence, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Lake Wales lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeremy Willingham, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Willingham has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Ossinac, who scored 11 points along with three steals.

Even though they lost, Lake Wales were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Kathleen's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lake Wales, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
