Volleyball Recap: Perry Find Success

Perry won the last time they faced Panorama and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bluejays came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bluejays.

While Perry won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16.

Perry can attribute much of their success to Kalley Whelchel, who had five assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Whelchel a new career-high.

Perry's victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Panorama, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Perry and Panorama will both be playing Paton-Churdan the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will head out to face the Rockets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
