Baseball Recap: Waskom Takes a Loss

Waskom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 10-3 to the Ore City Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Waskom saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Montez Thompson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Waskom's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Ore City, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-6 record.

While Waskom had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
