Basketball Game Preview: Willamette Wolverines vs. Eagle Point Eagles

The Willamette Wolverines will venture away from home to take on the Eagle Point Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Willamette is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 61 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Churchill on Tuesday. The contest between them and the Lancers didn't end well, with Willamette falling 47-28.

Meanwhile, Eagle Point came up short against Hidden Valley on Tuesday and fell 58-50.

Willamette dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Eagle Point, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Willamette beat Eagle Point 49-40 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Willamette since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
