Baseball Recap: Foothill Tech Victorious

Foothill Tech's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Grace Lancers 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won four in a row.

Foothill Tech got a great performance from Connor Nelles as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Nelles also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Dragons are 5-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-9 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Shane White was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Cain Ebrahim, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Foothill Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Foothill Tech now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Grace, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Foothill Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
