Volleyball Recap: Johnson's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Johnson extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 14-3. They came out on top against the Smithson Valley Rangers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

As for Smithson Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 15-2 Weiss (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 85.3% over those games).

Despite the loss, Smithson Valley still got an impressive performance from Berkley Bates, who had 12 digs and four assists. Bates has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 13 times she's played.

Johnson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Weiss on the 23rd. As for Smithson Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lake Belton on the 23rd.
