Basketball Game Preview: Coolidge Bears vs. Snowflake Lobos

The Coolidge Bears will square off against the Snowflake Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coolidge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Snowflake likes a good challenge.

On Wednesday, Coolidge took their matchup with ease, bagging a 74-40 victory over Tanque Verde. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Snowflake unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Chinle by a score of 54-51 on Tuesday.

Coolidge will have to keep a close watch on Gionn Jones and Jaron Woodside, a pair of players who had a big impact on Snowflake's prior game. Jones posted 13 points, while Woodside earned ten points.

Coolidge's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Snowflake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Coolidge came out on top in a nail-biter against Snowflake in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 59-56. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Lobos' Asher Brewer, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 20 points and seven boards.
