Basketball Recap: Shawnee Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Shawnee had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Fern Creek Tigers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-36.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Fern Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fern Creek, they will be home for the holidays to greet Dixie Heights at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
