Baseball Recap: Berkley Gets the Win

Berkley got themselves on the board against St. Clair on Saturday, but St. Clair never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Saints 1-0.

Not much got past Ethan Roth, who gave up just three hits to keep St. Clair off the board. Roth has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Berkley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. Clair, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Coming up, Berkley will welcome Groves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Clair, they will challenge Anchor Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight.
