Baseball Recap: Edgemont Falls to Irvington in First Game of Season

Edgemont unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 12-3 to the Irvington Bulldogs on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Edgemont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ammaar Shariff, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Irvington back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Edgemont will face off against Dobbs Ferry at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Irvington, they will welcome Sleepy Hollow at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
