Preview: Ville de Marie Academy vs. Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors

Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Ville de Marie Academy made easy work of Brighton Charter and carried off a 46-24 win. The victory was just what Ville de Marie Academy needed coming off of a 64-40 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Tri-City Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Imagine Prep Coolidge 57-28 on the road. Given Tri-City Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Imagine Prep Coolidge is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Fulvio Dos Santos, who scored 27 points along with nine rebounds. Dos Santos is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Chris Carnes was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Ville de Marie Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
Ville de Marie Academy might still be hurting after the 59-39 defeat they got from Tri-City Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dos Santos, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
