Football Recap: Calhoun Takes a Loss

Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 52-12 loss at the hands of the Tolsia Rebels. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Calhoun's loss came despite strong showings from Charter Cottrell and Chase Schoolcraft. Cottrell picked up 125 receiving yards and two scores, while Schoolcraft picked up 57 receiving yards. Schoolcraft also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making nine total tackles.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Tolsia, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun will welcome Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Tolsia, they will square off against Chapmanville Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed eight points per game this season, so the Rebels' offense will have their work cut out for them.
