Football Recap: Eldorado Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Eldorado needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Aerith Sanchez. The Eldorado Firehawks managed a 20-16 victory over the Valley Vikings on Wednesday thanks in part to Sanchez, who rushed for 201 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Eldorado's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eldorado has already played their next contest (against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Valley will be playing at home against Virgin Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Virgin Valley will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
